About The department
The Department of Psychology at Awadhesh Prasad Mahavidyalaya, Nadaul, Masaurhi is committed to exploring the science of human behavior and mental processes. It aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in understanding, analyzing, and applying psychological concepts in real-life situations. Established as one of the important disciplines in the Arts Faculty, the department follows the curriculum prescribed by Patliputra University, Patna. The course covers diverse areas such as General Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Psychological Testing. The department adopts a student-centric approach to teaching, using lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, field visits, and practical experiments. Students are encouraged to engage in research-oriented projects, participate in mental health awareness programs, and take part in departmental activities.

- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in both theory and practical classes, as per university regulations
- Late entry to classes or practical sessions will not be entertained.
- Students must come prepared for lectures, seminars, and practicals.
- Respectful and cooperative behavior towards teachers, staff, and classmates is mandatory. 3. Practical & Laboratory Work

- Students should keep the department premises neat, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Identity cards must be worn within the campus at all times.
