About The department
The Department of History at Awadhesh Prasad Mahavidyalaya, Nadaul, Masaurhi was established in 1989, the same year as the college’s inception. Since then, it has been one of the core departments of the institution, playing a vital role in shaping students’ knowledge of India’s past, heritage, and cultural traditions

Department Rules
- Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to be eligible for semester-end examinations.
- Students must attend all scheduled lectures, tutorials, and departmental activities (seminars, workshops, heritage walks, etc.)
- Appearing in Class-Test, Pre-Test, Test Examination is mandatory
- All assignments must be submitted on or before the deadline in the prescribed format
- Students must inform the HoD in written in case of continuous absence in the class for more than seven consecutive days
- Attendance is compulsory for guest lectures, history exhibitions, film screenings, and study tours
- Students must follow modest and comfortable attire suitable for site visits and research trips.

- As per the University norm 75% attendance in class is mandatory for appearing in the final examination.
- Students must return their borrowed items to the Departmental Library before collecting their admit cards for final exam from the office.
- Students have to participate in the various events such as student seminar, workshop, debates, movie screening, wall magazine publication etc. organised by the Department.
- Appearing in Class-Test, Pre-Test, Test Examination is mandatory.
